Digital business cards for freelancers

A freelancer's work arrives through referrals, and a referral is usually one sentence in a chat: "talk to him, here's his number". Whatever you gave that person is what gets forwarded.

A link is easier to forward than a PDF, opens on any phone, and shows the work rather than just the number.

Which plan

Start free — one card, one link, a QR and a Facebook link. Upgrade when you want the enquiry form and more social links.

The free plan gives you the card, the link, the QR code, Save Contact and one Facebook link. See what each plan includes.

How to set it up

  1. Create the card with the details your clients should see — name, number with country code, and business.
  2. Add the actions you actually answer on: call, WhatsApp, email, website.
  3. Download the QR and put it where your customers already are — counter, board, camera strap, printed card.
  4. Open the card once on your own phone before sharing it. Whatever is wrong there is wrong for everybody.

Questions freelancers ask

Do I need my own website as well?

Not to begin with. The card works as a small public profile with your contact actions and links. If you later build a site, link it from the card.

Can I use it for more than one kind of work?

Yes, though a card that says one clear thing is usually read further than one listing everything.

Will clients abroad be able to call the number?

Yes, as long as you enter it with the country code — the form now requires one for exactly this reason.
